Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 24v and 12v.... plus divorce papers

Well I did it, after a long conversation with mark at TST (great guy) I went and got the 01 24v HO, 6spd. He told me that there was nothing to be afraid of in this truck, and that the majority of bugs are worked out other than possibly the fuel pump. He has one himself and has had no problems with it and made the point that it is very easy to get plenty of hp out of this truck with minimal work (some $$ of course) for what I want to do (tow fifth wheel). There is one hitch, the 12v is still in the driveway(I told wife I was trading it)..... I am now going home from my shop, in hopes that I still am married. Thanks for all the responses guys, I am sure I will have questions about this new truck soon.

It's been nothin' BUT questions from me for the last several weeks - had my early '91 since new - LOTS of nice changes in the new ones, but that old '91 was a dependable workhorse that NEVER let me down or disappointed me...



Congratulations on the new truck - here's hoping we BOTH have nothing but GOOD things to say about them as years and miles pass...
