Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 24v codes

Is there a process that on a 24v you can cycle the ignition switch on and off and it will display any codes that are present?

turn key on and off 3 times with the fast leaving it on. It may take a few trys to get the timming right. Thay will diplay in the odomiter display.

on and off 3 times, will display where the milage is at... .

This doesn't work on the 98. 5 or 99 year trucks.
