Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 24v head ?

Can someone tell me if it matters which way the crosshead goes. It has a dimple on 1 side and I did not notice till I took them all out.

The "bridges" have one hole slightly larger/oval and that is under the dimple witch sould be out away from the rocker. I have seen stock trucks that have never been apart have them mixed and matched with no pattern.

I'd agree. put the oblong hole on the outside valve.
