I just installed a 24v intercooler on my truck and i lost about 100* of egt. The install was pretty easy. The 24v intercooler is 1. 5" taller than the stock 12v intercooler. I stripped all of the black paint off of the 24v intercooler before installing it into my truck to make it cool more. Oo.

Do you get any snow out there in Iowa?

Aluminum dont like salt.

PS What does one of these cost? Is yours new or used?

My 24v intercooler came out of a 2000 ctd that hit a big buck and it put a little bow in the cooler, so the insurance company gave him a new one. I purchased it from the guy for a $150. 00, and it had it pressure tested and no leaks. Then i stripped the paint off of the cooler to make it perform its job alot better. As for the snow here in iowa, we have had no measureable snow yet. I am not worried about the corrosion bothering the intercooler. When i installed the cooler i had to remove the cross bar that goes between the fenders to get the 24v cooler into position. There is a 1. 5" in height. Every little bit of egt reduction helps!!!Oo.

The next time I get a round a power stroke I'm going to measure the cooler on it just for giggles. A 24V cooler and water together would probably do plenty good with Twins;)

The Ford lightning guys are putting votech blowers on there older trucks and using a power stroke cooler that drops right in... . cool idea.
