Competition Do my #'s seem right?

Off Roading Got some new shoes today

I have a 98. 5 24valve and I am wondering which years have the anti-fueling at launch with auto transmissions? I heard the racers anti-defuelers box only works on certain model years, is this true? Is the comp pro good enough for anti-defueling for 4wd launches? The more I read about this thing, the more I don't get it. The truck is getting twins put on in the shop, so I can't see for myself, and I am getting everything I can think of to get ready for drag racing this spring!

you got nothin to worry about, that is unless thats a non billet dtt there in your sig. the defueling only is a problem for 01-02 CTDs. i can launch at any psi, and have gone as high as 20.

i have an 01 and needed the BD-rad box to get rid of mine... ... anything more then 8psi of boost it would buck and jerk in 1st and second gear and once i hit 3rd it was off the a freight train.

i dont think my 01. 5 does this?

if you boost launch it will

all 4x4's with auto's from 00-02's or 01-02 will de-fuel

you will need to boost launch it at around 10 psi+ to feel it.

try it at 15psi and let know

Is this the same as torque management? I didn't know it was only 01 and 02. I wonder why they added it that much later?

I borrowed my truck back from the shop (they didn't start on it yet), and tried launching in 4hi with comp box on 5x5. I let go of the brakes when the turbo got spooled up and watched as my energy drink came out of the cupholder and flew into the back seat (I guess that's why they are adjustable now), also the garage door openers and my sirrius remote all ended back there. So I guess it didn't defuel.

The DTT transmission has billet input/output shafts with a stock intermediate shaft. They refuse to sell full billet shaft transmissions anymore due to the lack of flex in billet pieces.

yup i did the same thing, i didnt realize i was in 4wheel and i was blowing smoke on my brother well when i let go of the brake my ipod almost hit me in the face and i shot outta the hole hard! kinda freaked me out :-laf

ill tell you what, take that thing to the dragstrip and launch in 4x4 and at about 15-20psi leaving the corvettes and mustangs in the dust... thats fun. . :-laf

I did the same thing at the drag strip but i had a bunch of change in the cup holder and i was only lauching at about 10-13 psi.

On a side not my front clutches and intermediat shaft didnt like it too much at just above 10 psi.

That sps 66 is verrrrry touchy with everything on and trying to keep it spooled up. It seems like a fine line between lit and just building boost.
