Ok I have 4" exhaust and a K&N but I doubt they contribute to the creation of HP much more than my gauges do. So the Bully Dog Stage 4 Torque Plate gave me 267HP... ... Going to add Piers 3K Govenor Spring Kit and see if Scott (MassDiesel) can time my truck (still stock whatever that is) and see what I get??? If Trans and TC holds out maybe 275? Dyno Day = Fun

It was Piers' old truck... so its very believeable, and Piers prolly detuned it a little before selling it

I heard that Piers did detune it prior to sale. BTW, the HX40 wasn't performing at its best for that run. John said he will be going back to the dyno again sometime, so we can see what he will run then.

Why does running with a performance plate make more power than running with no plate? Doesnt no plate give the most fuel the pump is capable of? Am I confused, beyond normal I mean

It all depends on the circumstances... .

In my case... running bone stock parts and no camplate gave me 118. 7rwhp increase over running just bone stock.



I think in John's case... his HX-40 was hating life and contemplating suicide well before he even put it on the dyno. Not having a fully operational and efficiently running turbo could have something to do with it... . All the added fuel in the world doesn't do much if there isn't the airflow to support it.



I could be wrong... but it's a good theory.
