Is it possible to convert a 2500 into a 3500?What would be involved in doing this? Is it costly? What are the main differences between the two that need to be changed?

The 3500 has a heavier rear end with larger springs and a dana 80 rear end. Rear brake shoes are larger than 2500. Fender wells and front clearance lights over windshield-thats all I see as I have both.
 
There is a company that makes conversion kits with flares, lights and wheel hubs for buds in front and dually in the rear... but, like the other posts say, there are those pesky HD parts underneath.....

I like the idea of converting from a 3500 to a 2500. This would make it easier to manuever(ridding those pesky fenders) and be able to retain heavier brakes. Is this possible, or rather is this economicaly feasible?

current truck-96 ram 2500, standard cab 4wd automatic- unbombed and staying that way for a while to come- just over 140k miles
