does anyone know if 3500 dually bed is the same as a 2500 single wheel bed? I am looking for a bed for my 2500 and can find 3500 take off beds all day. I am wondering if these beds are all the same with exception to the attached fenders. Any input is greatly appreciated.

no

The dually beds are the same except the sheet metal has been cut out for tire clearance. So, no, you can't just remove fenders and have a 2500 bed.

well actually you could use a dulley bed on a SRW truck, but just be prepared to replace both bed sides due to the wheel cut out. :{

that is a same that they are not the same. Dually take off beds seam to be a dime a dozen. I am having a tough time finding a reasonable deal on a 2500 bed.

Thanks for the input!

I bought a bed recently for my truck. I paid $1050 including sales tax. It turns out I was able to work out the crunch my son put in the side of my truck and I don't need it any more. If you have a way to get it out there we could work out a deal. PM me if you are interested.

he's right... out in the sticks, you can find take-off dually beds for $600-800 all day long... good ole boys trade 'em in on flat beds... drive by any flat bed shop in a rural area, and they're bound to have a few really nice dually beds stacked up collecting dust.

it always makes me consider a 3500 conversion... then pricing a 3500 rear end makes me "unconsider" it. :(
