I am in the market for a 2500 truck. There are a few that I will be traveling to see in the next week or so but I'm wondering if the headroom in the various Ram models is more or less the same? I looked at a 1500 Longhorn (2016 model) recently and I found that the headroom in that model (with sunroof) was lacking...
Can I expect the 2500/3500 models to be the same?
Just curious...

Bummer! I was hoping the 2500 had more headroom...
May have to order the one I want without a sunroof

When I got mine, my head was barely touching the ceiling. I'm 6'3", but I have more torso than legs. Luckily you can lower the electric seat, and I found I then had plenty of headroom, even with the moonroof. Not sure if all trim models have the same adjustments as my Long Horn, I assume at least the ones with electric seats do?

I'm 6'3" too with a 32" inseam... This puts me in the "long torso" category too.
I've found a truck that I would purchase (if I fit) on our way home from FL and it has a sunroof.
Again, my concern is due to the 1500 I sat in. Maybe that truck was not pdi'd yet and something was wrong with it but I could barely sit in it and it felt as though something was blocking the seat from going all the way down. There is a 3500 Laramie at a dealer nearby that I'm going to look at today, just to see if I fit. The 2500 I am interested in is still about 800 miles from here (we are traveling now and on the road)...

We did not want a sunroof for for the head room issue, I am 6'3" split pretty even and my wife's eyes are sensitive to light. We leave the shade closed on our Rainier SUV 99% of the time. So why spend 1500 bucks on something you are not going to use. The truck we found in stock did not have the sunroof. We bought it sight unseen 1400 miles away. Really enjoyed the drive home from the dealership!!!! I drive with the seat pretty high. The area in the front of the ceiling/visors area does hang down quite a bit, and takes some getting use to compared to our 2001.5. SNOKING

I am 6'1" and have no problem with head room in my 3500 LongHorn with sun roof. Did you adjust seat height?

Well... I FIT!
It is close, I sit in the truck differently than I do in my F-150 but...
I am sitting in the dealer now and we have agreed on a price...
Looks like I may be the new owner of a 2016, 2500 Laramie Longhorn Crew cab (with sunroof, and RamBox's) in white with the 6.7!!!

You have to change the way you sit just so you fit? That sounds a little iffy to me.......

What is surprising about that? It is an entirely different truck...
It took me about 2 minutes to find a comfortable position and once I did there was plenty of room. Not as much as my current truck but more than enough

I read it as though you were saying that you didn't really fit and had scrunch down to fit..... If you fit, great....:) you will love the truck.

Change of plans!
The deal fell through but I am back to another I found on the way home. A white Limited 2500. Air suspension, RamBox, 6.7, sunroof...it is pretty well loaded up.
My wife isn't fond of the grill but I like it!
I'll post pictures when we pick it up.

Hey Bill, I have seen that grill on a 1500. I did't know they also had them on the 3500. I can't say I like it however.
