2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission My truck is falling apart.....

Hey guys,

I'm looking to make my 2500 in a 3500 dually. Whats the difference between the width of a D80 from a 2500 and the width of a D80 from a 3500 dually? Would I be able to get the longer studs from a dually truck and some dually wheels and bolt them up to my axle?

A flatbed would most likely go on the truck so I'm not worried about how it would look under a dually bed.

Any input is appreciated!

The 2500 is only a 80 center section, the axle tube is necked down outside the spring perches (I'm not sure if the drive axles are smalled or not). You'll want to get a 3500 axle

I belive they are the same width, My friend put a dually rear diff in his fleetside and it worked fine. I doubt you will overload a bearing but if you have limited slip that will go out sooner than your bearings.
