2500 Delayed

Hello Everyone



This is my first time posting a message. Just joined TDR. I have been reading the forums for awhile. I have gotten a lot of good info from everyone.



I have on order a Silver 2500 Quad Cab, HO, Long Bed, Laramie, Auto, 3. 73, Anti-Spin, Tow Package, plus some other goodies. I ordered it on Oct. 15. I talked to DC Tuesday, they said my status was BG and couldn't or wouldn't tell what the delay was. Then they told me to have the dealer check on it. The dealer did yesterday and they told there is a delay on it getting started until late Nov. The Anti-Spin Differentials are on back order until then. Has any one else heard this? I don't know if is the truth or there is a dealer problem and this is there way of getting off the hook.

I heard a couple weeks ago that the 3. 73 w/LSD was on hold due to parts. You should still be able to get the 4. 10 LSD.

I guess I will have to wait, because I want the 3. 73. I don't want to settle for something else just to get it a little sooner.



This is the first vehicle I have ever ordered. All others have been off the lot and got what they had. The 1500 we have now had everything we were looking for on that truck. It was special ordered by someone who backed out of the deal. It is rare to find one with everything you want. So I will be patient.

Some feel the limited slip isn't real effective on the AA. You might get the open and put in a Detroit Locker later, especially if you want the pre-2004 emissions engine.

Hmmm, I signed my order form at 9pm on 10/13. I'm not sure exactly when they put the order in, but my truck it built. I also got 373 LSD

I think the overall consensus is the AA LSD has been better than the Dana 80 unit. Mine certainly is tighter yet smoother around corners.

I havent read anything but praise for the new AA's either.

I bet your dealer does not have allocation/allotment until then. They do not want to admit that the problem is related to their volume, so the blame it on a part that they know you want. I would call the DC 800 number and tell them you are thinking about ordering one and want to know what parts will hold up an order.

When they told you to see your dealer, that was a clue to where the problem lies.

I thought it might be a dealer problem to. I was going to call DC Monday anyway and see if I can get some straight info. First I will try doing what was suggested about asking what will hold up a order and then tell them my problem with the dealer. I will let you know what happens. Thanks for all the input.

Hello Everyone



I called DC today twice to find out if there was a hold on the LS Diff. They said that there was no hold on them. I went to the dealer and asked what was going on. They told me that as of last Wednesday they were on hold. They went to their computer and checked while I was standing there and it is not on hold anymore and gone to BX status. They told to call them Wednesday and might have a VIN number for me. Here's hoping. Thanks for all the input. I will let you know how it goes.

I got my vin # today, so I know it's being built. No more delays. May have it by the end of the month with any luck. Thanks for all the info from everybody.
