Looking at a SRW 2006 3500 mega cab. Whats the difference between it and a SRW 2500 mega.

Does any body have the 1 ton and how does it ride? I have driven a 3/4 ton and I'm hopping it's about the same. Are the SRW 1 tons rare?

I know you're interested in 2006 figures, but here's some info from my 2007 brochure :

RAM 2500 Mega 8800 GVWR has 2220 lbs payload capacity.

RAM 2500 Mega 9900 GVWR has 1610 lbs payload capacity.

RAM 3500 Mega SRW 10100 GVWR has 2690 lbs payload capacity.

RAM 3500 Mega SRW 10500 GVWR has 2740 lbs payload capacity.

My 3500 SRW handles my 18' car hauler better than the 2500 it replaced; the ride is not sacrificed as the overloads are not contacting unloaded.

The 3500 SRW is the way to go, IMO.

Thanks for the info guys. I am going to pick it up on this Sunday! Hate to part with the Y2K. Then again I can't wait not to feel the little boys size 9's in my back. Called about insurance on the mega cab and it raised it only 19 dollars a month, I was expecting alot more. For a few years newer and alot less miles for me it's worth it.

Got my 2006 3500 mega cab SRW. Bought it used with 16,951 miles for the right price from Valley Motors in Russelville AR. It was about an eight and a half hours from home but definitely worth the trip good folks down there. They also came in on a Sunday evening to deal with me. It was sad leaving the y2k behind (tear) we had alot of good miles together! The trip home was alot less noisy.
