2500 rear mud flaps

Can anyone steer me in the right direction for some decent mud flaps? I am looking for a set of all black flaps, but in particular the mounting hardware. I have 285-75-16 bfg-at's on the factory cast wheel and they stick out beyond the bed slightly. I am not sure about mounting them to the existing plastic inner fender well.

Hi Steve; I have the same size tires as you. I bought my mud flaps/splash guards from the Dodge dealer. They have the ram logo on them, and look pretty good. The part # is 82203705. They were priced about the same as the aftermarket ones. They've been on for about three years now and still look good. Even with the snow and salt here in Ct.

Thanks Ron, I currently have a set of those from Dodge but was looking for something wider and longer possibly. I have seen many in the parts houses but have not figured out a way to mount them to the inner fender well side.

I just put a pair of pro-flaps on mine. I purchased the from Four wheel parts
They aren't all black (stainless weight at the bottom) but they have better coverage than the dodge molded flaps (which have a tendency to rub the paint off. ) They are perfect for my 295's at almost the same width.

The rears mount easy. The fronts were another story. I had to refabricate the brackets to mount them on a 2001. I didn't complain to them though (I should of) I just did it.

I have a great way to mount them on the front so you won't have to go through what I went through #ad

I have 265/75's and didnt like mud coating my truck all the time. . so what I did is got a piece of rubber belting. . about 3/8 thick made up a patern and got a saber saw? and cut them out and got some stainless steel bolts and screws at the hardware store and and just bolted and screwd them to the outside edge of the bed were it turns under... was cheap and it works good. I also rounded it out near the top so it sticks out about 1 1/2- 2".

MACTRUCK, Are these flaps made of a flexible material or a semi-rigid plastic? I looked at the site you posted for me and they seem like they would work out great. Also are there anys brackets involved or do you just bolt to the fender well lip and then across at the inner liner?

My father in law (who has his own Cummins) gave me a set of rear 2500 Cummins logo'ed flaps. They look great. I went and got stainless nuts, lockwashers and bolts for them. The site is www.cummins.com. Go to the store section. Tom

These Flaps are made out of a flexible material and has an antisail bracket that attaches to the inside of the fender to the inner most part of the flap.

BIG BOB;
The weights on the bottom are made out of STAINLESS STEEL. So no rust #ad

I couldn't justify the cost of $200+ for NWC mudflaps and couldn't justify the long wait!

I took the molded ones the dealer sells, and replaced the flat piece of rubber/plastic with a larger version I found at pepboys.

You just figure out how you want to mount them, then hold the older flat pieces over the new ones to drill the screw holes, then re-attatch them to the molded pieces you bought from the dealer

I just bought pro-flaps and will be putting them on over the weekend. But before I start, I would sure appreciate additional info about mounting the fronts as it sounds like you had a few problems.

Also, right now I have the stock 265/75R16's but planning on going to 285's or 295's and see you're running 295/75R16 BFG AT's. Can you post a pic of your rig or e-mail it to me? And I'd like to mount these pro-flaps in the right spot to accomodate the 285's or 295's.
