The Ram 2500 service manual showed up it's size of business card and the center part flip up on one end plugs into USB 3.0 port.

the good question would be does it pull up the information from within the radio? now you would have my attention

Is it "searchable" ?

Not very good and it does not appear to be part of the program. Press control + F and the PC search feature comes up. No global search, but will search opened tab or sub tab, pretty much like a printed product. You have to be smart enough or patient enough as you search for what you want.

EDIT: Tab or subtab MUST be open! It won't search closed Tab/Subtabs.

Cheers, Ron

Understand clearly this is a Windows base system, will not work on your truck. Like what Wiredawg said you need to know what you are looking for each tap has as many 6 to 8 sub taps; and each sub tap has as many 4 or 8 taps for more subjects.

yea its the same as the CD I have already then. I wish it was something you could have in the truck I guess when i'm on the road I need to make sure I have the CD and laptop.... Thanks

You can copy the CD or USB version to your HD. As said already, it is faster (and more convenient).

There is no search. There is no index. It can be hard to find some things. It is overly subdivided into tabs, which makes it hard to browse around for those things you can't find. Some tabs are little more than a single sentence. You can only print a tab at a time, even if it is only one sentence. The information is useful but the presentation is poor. The old printed manual and the corresponding PDF (which looked exactly like the printed version and was searchable and worked on Macs as well as PCs) were much better. I have no idea why anyone thought it was a good idea to make it browser-based and rely on Microsoft's ActiveX. Some computer science geek was probably enthralled with the technology and made it sound good enough for his/her unknowledgable bosses to buy into. Or maybe they brought in a consultant. I think they were more concerned about the additional time and money it takes to format it like a book versus ease of use by their customers. But they could have at least made it more standardized instead of relying on ActiveX.

Wiring diagrams are an additional purchase (or bought as a package with the service manual) and include 3-D renderings of wiring harnesses and connectors and components showing where they are on the truck, which is really useful. The wiring diagrams work on Macs or PCs if you know what to do. At least the ones for my truck do.

Today I ordered the Mopar wiring diagram for MY 2019 Ram 2500 should be here next week.:)

I got an ALLDATA account last month for our fleet use, its just the Repair, it has a ton of info, looks like it ties in to FCA stuff diagrams are really nice.

My guess is the OE ones are the same on your disc.

They also have some non-OE ones that you can hide the wires and it just shows your circuit.

They have upto 2020 ones on there.

The price is one of those if you have to ask then it's not for you.

We have Ram, Dodge, Chevy, GMC, Buick such a mixed bag it makes it nice that it's all in one spot.

Yeah it has pretty much everything in it one can think of.

I needed my upfitter info for my '18 2500 and it had a lot of info on that. At same time thats always available from the body builder site.

When you get your disc if you remember take a look and see if they look like these.
This is the OE version....

Then they have the non-OE that they create and those you can select the wiring and it kinda grays out the others, I did not spring for the extra Mobile option so that feature only works on the laptop.
