My son and I saw a Ford F450 in a local parking lot and other than the wheels and the emblem, did not notice much difference between it and a F250.

So my son said "Can't we change the emblem on our truck?". Well I don't know where to get a 4 in the RAM font, but do know where to get a 5.

What do you think.

This is actually just thinking digitally, But would look cool.

Your Son wouldn't want a RAM 4500 cuz then when you pulled up to a Ford F-550 he would say... . hey Dad!!

Honestly? I think it's lame. I saw a F-250 once with F-650 badging and laughed pretty hard.

I get enough questions ("Is that really a 3500?") without people deliberately confusing the matter. Especially now that I don't have the usual Ram 3500 decals. But that's just my opinion, please feel free to ignore me. :D

I am be-founded that the earthroamer.com guy thought a F-450 could haul a heavier payload than a modified CTD Ram 3500. I thought it was a joke until I saw his new truck on his web site. My sister has a F-650 with a CAT and she hates that truck it can't climb the Seattle hills empty. Ford builds some odd trucks and gives them unrealistic ratings in the name of sales. I don't care what the numbers state a RAM 3500 is a stronger safer truck out the door than a F-450 just look at what you see a 3500 or a 2500 hauling down the road!!!!

I agree, but it sounds like it had the desired effect. (which is why I did it digitally).

My grandpa put a diesel emblem on his 1980 Chevy C/10. It was pretty funny until my aunt borrowed the truck. Actually she called before putting diesel in the truck so it was still funny. :)

Doesn't seem like much of a stretch though, Dodge already has the Cummins. :D

Correct me if I am wrong but those 10 bolt 19. 5's clear some pretty big brakes.

With 300HP and 860 Pounds Feet on tap there must be something wrong with her truck other than the name plate.

Hrmm well I don't know if I would go that far, I think there are more Rams pulling the standard stuff, goose-necks, 5th wheels, big boats and travel trailers cuz they have the good motor and come with a pick-up bed. Someone mentioned that the F-550 can be ordered with a Cummins- If they would give it a decent wheel base and a pick-up body more "regular" kind of owners would buy IMO but those chassis cab Fords were not designed to compete with Dodge pick-ups, they have their F-350 for that.

The 450 and 550's I see around have huge service body's and many are even equipped with buckets for the phone and power companies. Don't get me wrong, I am a Ram Fan all the way but also feel the 450 and 550 fills a unique market that the Ram was not designed for.

Thats not at the rear wheels they have to spend 6000 on a propperly match tranni so that the truck could haul more than potatoe chips in kansas.

Earthromer could of BOMBed his brake system for a whole lot less money. I still stand behind Ford and weak Brakes I drive them all the time and they are usually the weekest of all the 3-6 ton trucks Isuzu being the best
