AWeiman; Thanks, my setiment exactly. The lighter side is, I have made a pretty good living off of the 'oil burners' in my 30+ years as a wrench and am glad I finally took the plunge to get my own. Some times we don't always do what is best for the future, sometimes it is what is convienent at the time. At $10. 00 per hour you can't always buy what you REALLY want but must settle for what you can afford. Anyway my 6. 7l has been trouble free for 45,000 miles, thank you very much.
money is exactly why my first big truck was a V-10 it was way cheaper to buy than a ctd. i never by any means hated the truck. it handled every load i ever threw at it quite well. my proudest moment was when i guy i was working for decided a big load of cows we had to haul would better be handled by the v-10 over his ol 6. 5 chevy. and it did. one of the few diesels i think the ol v-10 could take.
