2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 265/75/16 tires on 3500?

I am the second owner on my newest truck, and the previous owner put 265/75/16s on it. It sits noticibly shorter and wider than my 97 3500 stock tires. I also noticed that the tires rub each other on the back under a decent load. What should I do? Has anyone put this size on their dually? If so did you use spacers to prevent rubbing? Am I losing some top end because of this tire size? I kind like the way the tires look, a little more stout than stock, I'd like to keep them, but not if they are going to cause problems.
