just need alittle advice on injectors, want to go to the 275-300hp range on a 96 which ones and were to get them? thanks

No stock Bosch injectors will get you to 300 by themselves, even 370 hp Diamond B's. Diesel Dynamics 3s won't either. If you have a 215 hp 5 speed, a torque plate alone will do it. If an auto or 175 hp stick, you will need both a plate and injectors to get to 300. A 180 hp will get close, about 280 with plate only. Around 280-300 hp you will need the bigger turbo housing to keep egt down.

If you would give more info, it would be easier to give specific recommendations.

my truck has the five speed, the pump has been turned up but the stock cam plate has not been moved. I dont really understand what the mechanic did but it worked. somthing abou recalibration, spillport time? anyway talked to him yesterday about more power and he recomended bigger injector 275-300 hp range and 4" exhaust

It doesn't sound like he is really up on these trucks. I have dyno tested about everything for them (I hope and fear--my poor old Ram hopes I have overlooked a few horses laying around on the floor!). For 300-315 hp range, you need a torque plate and 16 cm2 turbine housing. 3" exhaust is fine.

Was going to start my own topic on DD II's, but this looks like the place. I'm going up Mon. to DTT for a 89% and VB. Stefan suggested DDII's to go with the Banks cam plate that he said is comparable to a TST #8. I agree with CAnderson that upgrading in steps sucks. Other than injectors and Dvalves I will probably upgrade the cam plate but no plans for a turbo or housing in the near future. I'm hesitant to get the 370's or DDIII's and be stuck with the stumble as I can't get the Dvalves right now. I'm also looking for @ least 275 to 300 RWHP to drag the 9. 5 camper and 3800lb. boat/trailer over the mountains. Joe Donnelly where are you? Thanks, George

Ok, my question wasn't good. I want to know why I don't see hardly any DDII's in the sigs. Also what cam plate would match up with the DDII's without EGT probs. assuming stock turbo and Banks 3. 5 " Catback exhaust? Thanks George

Why not many DD11's? I can only explain why I didn't purchase them. But first, those of you that have them, please don't "flame" me. I am sure they are an excellent product, but at a price of around $600. 00 I didn't feel that no matter how good they were, they were just to pricey for me, compared to what else is out there, ie; Bosch 215's or the 370's.

The more power you add, the higher the EGT problems, hence getting a larger turbo housing as Joe D. suggests. I have a TST #8 moved slightly forward, just added 215's and the AFE Mega Cannon air filter system, the CAT goes away soon. At that point I will determine if I still have an EGT problem when towing, if so, my next move will be the bigger turbo housing.

I hoping that the AFE system and no CAT will do the trick, I'll keep you posted.

Isn't there anyone out there with DDII's? Thanks Rammin On, that's probably the power I'm looking for. Maybe I'll just wait and get 370's, Dvalves and turbo. The cat can go but I like the Banks Exhaust. Hope it will be enough. TSchwab, I was told $450 for the injectors. maybe $600 is for the 24v? not much diff from 370's as we missed the sale. Come on you guys, somebody has to have the II's
