This is for a friend,
He is wanting to put the 275 rv injectors in his truck. We go to a tech school in Linn Missouri (Caterpillar program), one of the instructors said that with the instllation of these it would make the computer throw a fault. I disagreed? But from lack of knoledge I reframed to argue. I know that the injectors are a easy way to up the HP without being obvious to the dealership.
Has anyone ever tried the powerpuck?
We went to a local Injection shop, and he let us plug one in to try it. My friends truck is a 2000 6 speed. We could not tell a bit of difference! Top end, mid range, low end not much if any. I just rode along and i could not tell a bit of a change.
I will thank you in advance for your kind imput to me and my friend's Bombing adventure
Thanks so much
Adam Harman (sorry I drive a 12 valver)

Didn't you "notice" the EZ and the VA when you tried each in your truck unloaded??? Granted you might notice it "more" underload, but even empty it should be quite noticable.

Katdiesel,
You said something about EZ and VA, you are talking about different boxes, right?
We only tried the diablo power puck.
Why do you suspect that we did not see a difference?

you may have got a faulty puck. when i installed my ez box there was a real improvement. i would have him try a edge products ez or the bd plug in power.

<font color=blue>Yes I was refering to two different boxes. BigA has tried both of them, is the reason I asked him that question.

Reasons as to why you didn't see much improvement? Could be you were "expecting" alot more then it gives you. Could be the "Puck" was bad. Thats the two reasons I would guess offhand. I suggest getting a different "Puck" if thats your box of choice. Also if its available try an EZ as well as a VA. Those are the three "timing" boxes available at this time. I also believe Bullydog has something available but I don't have any info or experience with that one. The Diesel Dynamic True Torque Module is also an "EZ" repackaged and programed slightly different. I would stay with either the EZ or VA, both are tried and true boxes. These of course are the timing boxes with "minor" fueling enhancements, if you want to get into a "major" fueling box such as a PowerMax&sup3; or PowerEdge or BlueBlox, or JVD, thats a whole nother post in itself. <font size=-2>

No need to be sorry, you "learned" somethin from it... . right? #ad

If someone posts a "quote" by someone in their post it "generally" means they are talking to that person. The 2nd part of my post is directed towards you. I was just asking BigA the first question.

As I said no need to apologize... ... ... besides I can't use that "I'm new here" excuse anymore #ad
