I JUST WENT FROM 265 TO 285/75R16'S (BFG AT'S). I NEEDED A LITTLE MORE GROUND CLEARANCE AND FLOTATION ON THE BEACH WITHOUT SWITCHING TO BIGGER RIMS. I NOTICED LAUNCHES IN 2ND GEAR SEEM SMOOTHER. ANYONE ELSE NOTICE THIS? I HAVE 3. 55 GEARS AND THE 6 SPEED transmission. ALSO, WHAT PRESSURES WORK BEST WITH THESE TIRES?

WHO WOULD HAVE THOUGHT HIGHER GEARING (I COME UP WITH THE EQUIVILENT OF 3. 42 GEARING) WOULD HELP A 7500 POUND TRUCK. HOW IS THE FRONT END HOLDING UP WITH THOSE MONSTERS?

I had to put a Sky-jacker dual steering stabilizer on mine, cause it wanted to wander on the interstate. I run 62 psi in the front and 52 in the rear, try that and adjust til you're happy. I really like my B. F. G. A. T. 's,we'll see how they wear when I get some more miles on them. I also went from 265's,and noticed the ratio change too. Later... . Doug

The front end seems to be doing just fine, but I only have about 2k miles on the tires so far. I don't expect any problems since I haven't changed anything else. If I had lifted the front or changed the wheel offset, I would definitely be keeping a close eye on it.
