This is another Auto to NV4500 swap question.

By my xfer case build tag I need the narrow bearing 29 spline input.

The Torque King site says there are 4 possible inputs - two wide and two narrow - which accounts for stuff like minor ( I suppose) differences in gear tooth beveling and so forth.

Now the Torque King gears are around 200 bucks.

All other sources - having only one wide bearing or one narrow bearing part number - are about 1/4 that amount of $.

Your thoughts would be appreciated.

I am not sure what your question is? Is it just about the price? T/Q would be oem the others would be aftermarket mostly. Myself, I would be tempted to use the aftermarket, $65 v/s $200.

The question is certainly related to the money.
I'm somewhat skeptical at TK's claim that there are two narrow bearing inputs, differing only in gear tooth beveling, when all other vendors make no such differentiation while sticking such a high price on the parts.

Of course there's that place in the back of my noggin that fears taking the cheap route in the short term and then paying really big money - after pulling the case again and then replacing the input and the planetary.

I am not sure either. It might be that TK includes too many models, such as 241, 241dld, 241 dhd and different years with different trannys. I would go with your model, year and transmission use and hope for the best:D

At least it should fit/work or not. Once you have it in hand and install it, there should be no doubt of fitment.

I went with TK due to the info they provided IMO was pretty detailed. I found going back to their legacy option had better descriptions of the products. Certain items could be found less expensive at other websites. I again traded dollars for convenience of having everyrhing in one spot and one and done ordering.

Plus trying to sort out the wreckage between all the various cases, kits and numbers was getting to me after a while had to pull the trigger on something. Went overboard trying to figure out the case rebuild options.

I placed the order at 5pm'ish EST since they are west coast'ish got parts in next day.

Impressed with their packing of the kit and optd for the vacuum line harness which was really nice quality IMO.

Guess in a perfect situation you could tear something all apart inspect and only order the bad stuff, unfortunately I dont have time to do that this go round.
