Archived 2k dually Auto Trans in LIMP MODE (stock truck)

OK drove truck last thursday and pulled trailer 400 miles with medium size car on it, NO problems , got home and started up truck the next morning and Had NO first gear and wants to start out in 3rd , so I pulled it down to second and it has 2nd gear, and third but NO OVer drive and the TC is not locking up either! so I checked all connections and found no problems, the code is showing PO748 which means governor sol electric failure, so I repaced that switch and transducer in the trans and still no over drive and first gear etc, so I took it to my Local Dealer In Crossville TN ( East TN DODGE) and they said it would cost me $72 to take a look at it and I said OK, then after 1 hour he called me and said that It would take his Diesel Mech a couple more hours at $72 to find the problem and I said OK , at this time its Friday evening so I didnt hear from them again so I called them monday at Noon and he said they still hadnt found the problem yet! so monday went and Tuesday came and that evening service advisor called me saying that they THOUGHT? it was the trans wiring harness and cost to fix it would run 1K for the wiring and $720 to install it! so its was ATLEAST $1720 dollars but might be more IF i needed a Computer , I said NO, and I would pick up truck, so I went today and paid them for 4 hours at 72 plus their enviromental fees? ( maybe a crying towel?) $30 plus $3 dollars tax which comes to $333 plus some change to find out absoulty NOTHING! so then I went to my truck and its batterys were DEAD! they said well its a wiring ISSUE, DUH? so I finally got it boosted off and he said I had a fuel drain back problem too? which I didnt ever before and dont now either! so does anyone know what I might check to see why those Solionds are not geting fire to them or which wire is suppose to fire it? Im at a loss and need this truck bad, its got 187k miles and NO problems before this! Oh yeah he left the breather LOOSE and a shop rag in the engine comparment and left the park switch wire off and pulled off the wiring #s stickers that i found on my battery! sounds like a fine place to take a car apart and forget?
