2nd Cummins - new to forum!

Just bought my second Cummins last week! . So far, I'm tickled pink! My last CTD truck was a 1990 first gen, and DC has come quite a bit farther than I thought.



I've owned a 96 Powerstroke since new, (traded the CTD) and the differences are tremendous! I'm very pleased with the engine power/torque right off the assy line, but as we all know, there's room for improvement.



So, to keep this post within "engine/transmission", what, if anything, should I be on the lookout for?

P. S. To avoid flaming, use a calculator to check your mpg prior to posting. Statements like I got 28. 8mpg pulling 30,000 up a mountain on #1 fuel will bet you burned.

I have had 3 of these CTD trucks; a 91 1/2, a 94, and now the 03 model, and each have had major improvements!

Welcome! I moved up from a 93 CTD and have never looked back.

Flaming just isn't much of a problem here unless we post something ridiculous or ask what oil to use...
