Archived 2nd gear start

My 03 is taking off in 2nd gear i have a tcc solinoid code p0743 I have ohmed the wires going to the tcc soliniod and they are good and i checked the pcm connecters and theres no corrosion. don,t want to spend 90. 00 on a tcc soliniod and it not fix the truck. Thanks .

On a second gen that symptom is usually the governer solenoid and pressure transducer. If your 03 has the same (which I assume it does) that is usually the fix.

Thats what it was i replaced both. i can't find any specs on how to check these components to find out wich one was bad. I hate throwing parts at a problem. Thanks for the help.

If there is a check I would imagine you would need pressure checks etc. to verify readings. For the price it is usually easier to replace both parts. Glad your fixed.
