I used a set of 1" wheel spacers/adapters. I feel that 1. 5" would be better. The adapters need 9/16 wheel studs in them for the center caps to work. SteveinAZ

EBottema,

Before I did a dually conversion on my '92 W250, I ran a set of those exact rims with 285/75-16's however, my father, whom I purchased the truck from, had a set of 32 lug nuts machined from scratch to accomodate the center cap of the 2nd Gen. wheels. For the record, yes, they did fit with no lift and no rubbing at full turn. I still have the lug nuts and wheels with tires. PM me if you would be interested in the lug nuts or know of someone who might.

You can get the 1/2" lugnuts with big shoulders that would allow for the center caps to go on there from dodge

look in the history for the pn I don't have time

and I believe that is a misprint? I had those rims for a while and they said 16X7 on them

I have posted on at least 3 different threads on here and dtr with these part numbers and info about these 2nd gen wheels. The backspacing is 5/16" more narrow than stock rims on the 1st gens. your truck will track like a ford ranger with these rims width-wise. that's why they use the spacers. forget those wheels get some ford alcoas from the mid 90's f250's. They can be found cheap because the owners don't know they're real alcoas. can be bought new even today.

I have those wheels on my truck. I am not running the center caps though. I know they aren't 8" wide. I believe Pepecat is right at 7" wide. They do stick in some more for sure, but it isn't very noticeable. They don't rub at all for me. I would like some spacers for mine though just to make it look better.
