Smarty and TCC control?

Since the "Building a Better BHAF" thread, I bought one of them Amsoil filters and made a heat shield and have had great results so far. Lowered EGTs by about 100* and the turbo seems to build boost a bit faster, also really screams now :-laf The shield is stainless steel with a rolled ring to hold the filter from touching anything. Its pretty sturdy. Anyone be interested in something like this?

Oh- the filter doesnt have the waves in it like this one, Josh sat on that one  And the heat shield will be new stainless, this one is a mockup.

Looks good! Those Nanofiber filters have been a very popular item on my shelves. If I have a customer who wants a heat shield, I'll send them your way! Very nice!

Does the shield vibrate at all ? I bought one from someone on here . . and it looks nice, but took it off because it vibrated so GD bad ! I even added rubber above and below it. Still didnt help. How much ?

Noise with nano?

It doesnt move hardly at all, there is a brace that supports the upper portion. But its stays pretty solid. pm sent on price.

How's the noise level compared to the BHAF. I've had to use my TAG I to muffle the turbo whistle and intake noise. I'm sold on the Amsoil filters.

Its louder than a BHAF. I like it, but some may not. I havent tried it with the silencer ring in though. The turbo really screams with this at about 35psi. Cruisng you dont really notice it. Either that or I am getting too used to it by now.
