2nd gen better BHAF and shield

Yeah, I went from a paper BHAF (AH19037) Fleetguard to this AMSOIL Nanofiber filter, and my turbo definately went louder. I like it! Oo.

Update on 4091... Yes it is quieter, everyone has noticed, but I had an AFE megacannon before, so I guess that is not totally out of the ordinary. Before I decided to go ahead and try it out I emailed Amsoil corporate about returning it. Surprise, surprise... no response... but that is what I have come to expect from Amsoil. Great products, no customer service after the purchase (at least at the corporate level, there are alot of reputable dealers out there). Anyhow, back to the filter, I haven't noticed any change in egt's, so even though it is quieter it appears to flow sufficient air. I have the plans ready for the cold air intake, just need to pony up for the Odyssey battery to clear up space on the passenger side. I may make one small change though, dual filters (idea came from Duluth), you can never have too much air.

Yep, I'm currently running dual 4560 filters.

Yeah I saw that picture. I wonder if I can get to of the 4090's under the hood...

It would be tight. The two 4560s are tight. You'd have to fab up a custom Y pipe and perhaps shorten the intake hose to make the longer 4090s fit. Get 'er done!

Chuck don't ya think you'd be better off with one big filter like the one in this kit? Seems to me it'd flow more. Put that double on the 1st gen and try 1 big one and see what the difference is or if there is one. Better yet, buy me one and I'll let ya know if it's better than the pro guard 7 or not.

Well, I had that exact 4090 filter on before. The 4090 has a 4 inch flange. The 4560 has a 4. 5 inch flange. Since the 4560 filters are shorter, utilizing two makes up for the shorter length, and now I am pulling through two 4. 5 inch filters into one 4. 5 inch PVC pipe. I would guess that I am moving more air with the dual setup than with the single 4090.



Corey, we should slap a 6080 on your intake box and then see what you think. That would be a good test. 6 inch flange opening.
