2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2nd gen exhaust`

I have a '99 3500 2wd that finally has 65,000 mi. I have Geno's muffler elim. pipe on. Due to 5th wheel crashing down on bed I was forced to replace it. I noticed the ex. pipe under the bed was rusted out. I could'nt see it from underneath the truck. What replacement system should I go with. Geno sells ANSA and MBRP. I've read good stuff about STAN'S and others. What to do? Thanks guys!

I have the ANSA with the muffler, has a good tone but not too loud. Everything fit together very well, it is a good system in my opinion. You may be able to find something cheaper though.

I have the turbo-back system from Stan's since new. No issues. In the cab is noticeably quieter then what the OEM was. If yours is rusting where you live, get stainless steel.

I have a Rip Rook (Source Auto) 4inch turbo back. Great sound and look. Took me by myself about 2 hours to remove old and put in new in my drive.



Plus I was hard pressed to find a system that came with such good recomendations at a close price.

I have the MBRP 4" T-409 stainless steel exhaust. I paid around $400. It took me about an hour to install, with the help of a friend. I would not spend the extra $300-$400 for the T-409 stainless steel. The main difference between the two is the T-304 is shinier. If the original, aluminumized, exhaust lasted you about 11 years, the T409 should last you at least twice as long. It sounds good and the turbo spools up quicker.

I have the MBRP, 4" 304pro.

Nothing but good things to say about it.
I paid about 750 to my door back then.

I got about 4 years out of my stock exhaust... going on over 6 years on this one and it nearly looks like the day it came out of the box.
Might if I got under it and gave it a polishing job... .


If your in the rust belt, like me and run the beaches, it's worth the xtra bux.
I know a few others that had "cheaper" SS exhaust (409 materials), all rusted like stock in 4-5 years, but not falling off yet. So does last longer.

I'm guessing my exhaust will out last the sheetmetal on my truck.

But as mentioned above, if you got 11 years!! out of your stock exhaust, geez, must be in a dry area of the country... save the bux... .

I agree. For those in the rust belt, the T304 is the way to go. At least if you plan on keeping the truck for 20+ years.
