2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2nd gen stepside Ram? Interesting..

Driving down the road today into Conroe TX I noticed something different about this 2nd gen Ram. Check it out:

Well, it's a pretty convincing attempt at one anyway. The tailgate is from a GM fullsize pickup and the bed looks somewhat "backyard custom". Had me fooled until I got the camera home and looked closer at the pic. I thought maybe it was a Mexico-only Ram but it's definitely a custom job.

I rember seeing an article on these, GM bed with a little creativity on the taillights. Not cheap either if I remember right.

Funny, I was just thinking of trying this on my next Ram. I don't think I will any more.

Looks like a GM bed with Dodge tail lights.

Look at the handle on the tailgate. . total GM handle on that baby... . Look where the gas filler lid is. I know you can barely see it, but it is a GM bed.
