Archived 2nd Gen Wont Start

When I attempt to get codes, I get :



P DONE



Wont turn over. Pump sounds like it is starting.



Could this be my VP44 and LP??

Won't turn over is a starter issue. Won't start is a fuel etc. issue. I assume it cranks but will not start. Are you getting fuel from the LP?. Just because the LP is running does not mean it is pumping fuel. Start with the basics. Do you have a fuel pressure gauge?

its trying to turn over... just not starting. . similar to when my FP gauge line was leaking and air got into the system. My FP was about 8PSI last night. truck sat from 1130PM last night to about 130PM today. I am getting 0PSI on the FP gauge currently.

Sounds like a lift pump or pre lift pump issue such as low fuel, sucking air from tank hose or connection or the impeller shaft on the LP sheared. The simplest way to find out if it is tank or supply line issue is to get 5 feet of 5/16 fuel line and slip it over the LP fitting with the other end in a 5 gallon can of diesel. You will have to reprime the system to suck the fuel thru the pump. Prime the same as you would with a filter change. So far it is not the VP44.
