2nd Generation Wheels

I searched the Archives and had no luck. Will a '94 Steel wheel work on an '89-'93 Ram?

Hi Hemi Dart I put them on my truck to move it around when I lifted and made it four wheeldrive I think the problem is when you try to use the hubcaps the lugnuts are different that is where the hubcaps attach. never tried to use hubcaps but they will fit and work with out hubcaps hope this helps

I don't claim to be an expert, but I called Rickson when I saw some 2nd gen 19. 5s for sale, and they said that 2nd gen wheels do not first 1st trucks. The reason they gave is that 1st gens are centered around the lug nuts, while 2nd gens are centered around the hub.

If you have the steel wheels from both they both center on the hub. .



The big problem is the lugnut sizes are different. I also have 94 chromes on mine. For centercaps I had to get top-hats and put them on the outside, the rim is too tight on the hub to put the centercaps through normally.

I had a set of 98 steel wheels on my 85 for a few months right after I first got it. They fit, but I didn't have the hubcaps. Don't know if they would or not... ... .....
