2nd Meet & Greet, Lancaster, OH

We are in the process of trying to plan the 2nd Meet & Greet. I'm looking for feedback on when? December or January? I know with Christmas right around the corner, Christmas partys are showing up on everyones schedule. Me and Partsman have talked about a Meet & Greet in December may be tough. I thought maybe some of us could just try and sit down and plan out January's Meet. Or if anything just looking for a excuse for some of us to knock back a few beverages :-laf in good company. If a December Meet was going to happen, I figured the 12th would be a good day. I'm kinda just looking for the members to hang and maybe get some good ideas for a huge turnout for January. Let's hear what ya think?

have to let you know about the 12th. december is going to be rough, its starting already. trying to get three trucks ready for our christmas parade this sunday. I do know i have to go to flordia jan 17th thru the 23rd for business so that week is out for me.

I'll go to the some what respectfull meeting places I think some of the members will agree. not saying hooters is a bad thing ... lol ive never been there so my idea of the place might be blown out of proportion.

as for us being a chapter, i think we need a few more members before we start claiming that. im willing to try a once a month gathering and i understand some folks arent going to be able to make it, which is ok. .



woodsrat, parade? oh, and chuck, not to put u on the spot, but i think someone said possible doing a gathering at your barn. that would be kinda cool as well.



DM, is hooters that big of a deal? im open to just about any gathering place as long as it is big enough to handle us without having to wait too long.



i would like to do a few semi long distance meets during the spring/summer/fall with other chapters as well, maybe like cincinnati/dayton or cleveland. .

CEpp if you're looking at Lancaster again Donatos on Fair Ave has a really nice upstairs meeting room that would easily handle 30 or 40 people and they also have a fairly large parking lot. BTW, congrats on having your truck in the TDR for the 100,000 mile club.

yeah 5hrs is a haul, but Id like to attend. I dont want to cause trouble but how about a meeting in central ohio? just a thought

we put stuff in the christmas parade down here every year. We can work somthing out at my place, but its my shop not barn so it would have to be saturday night or on a sunday.

Hooters is not that bad there are people in there with the wife and kids all the time.
We can work on the chapter thing in the next meetings and on here.
No we dont have a pres. we would have to pick one and i dont think we are that far along yet.
Everyone is a member.

DM, i am just as excited about having a chapter in the area as u, but we need more members too. . by the sound of it your interested in being a officer or some sort, right? it will happen eventually, expecially after the turnout of the first one. i really dont think this is the time or place for this, im more concerned about trying to organize the next Meet & Greet. i can do the 12th of dec. so far. even if its a limited amount of members. now that we have the inital following, we need build members. DM, are u working on dec, 12th?

I don't want to burst anyone's bubble or anything but half the stuff that's being talked about right now is a long way down the road, my persoanl thought is to wait and just worry about a few more meet and greet's see what happens just with getting together to b/s.

Theres a lot more to go with being a chapter than you may think its not just a goof off kind of thing ..... you must represent TDR in a exellent manner and there are bi-laws and alot of legalities that goes with it . chapter mins ,old buss ,new buss... . alot of yeahs and nays and fund raiseing its alot more than I want to deal with right now . .



I spent 3 years in palamentary procedures and I understand the basics of professional meetings and Im not ready for the 2 worlds to colide... maybe in the future but if theres a local avalible and I dont have to go far to go to the meets Im willing to become a member.



I havent read TDR rules for being a chapter president or officer but I have read thru all DTRs and theres alot of responsibillity that goes with it ... its just not something you do so you can tell people your a TDR PREZ. that would be cool but theres alot that goes with the title.
