2nd Time around ND-MN-SD-MB...Diesel Gathering

First call for another gathering at Northwood ND (MN, ND border) at Mikes Custom Trucks.



When: Tentatively planning on either the 3rd or 4th Saturday in October.



Where: Mikes Custom Trucks - Northwood, North Dakota.





Mike's is a full service diesel pickup and drive line shop with a DynoJet dynamometer. Need timing set, KDP "fixed", or just want to shot the breeze while while a truck runs on the dyno.



Driving distances from selected population centers and based on major roads (mostly freeway) travel:

Minneapolis - St. Paul, MN 350 miles

Duluth, MN 275 miles

Winnipeg, MB 175 miles (280 km)

Sioux Falls SD 330 miles

Fargo, ND 85 miles

Grand Forks, ND 35 miles

Some more info

Well the date is set for Saturday October 19th.



Mike will also offer his parking lot and area around the shop for anyone needing to park a camper or rest for the night. Should not go below zero then yet so one could sleep under the stars.



Please spread the word to any friends who may not read this. Friends of any diesel flavor.



I will post updates as I get then for comand central in "Beet" country.



Not to sound like an advertisement, but the shop were have this at does lots of specialty diesel work like fully splined main shafts in NVG4500, timing set, KDP fixed, and did I mention a DynoJet DYNO. For being in the middle of no where (that pretty much describes ND) this shop is setup to do most anything. They also carry a wide varrity of performance assessories.

I geuss I have not paid much attention to start time. I Might stay up in Fargo. Me being a night worker. Id be lucky to get up before 10 or 11 AM.

Day before....

I will be up the day before getting a headgasket replaced. Long overdue. Had this scheduled previously. Nice not to have to make a separate trip. Will be up bright and early on Saturday finsihing up anything that did not get done the day before.



I will check on a more specific start time and get back.

Last time it was scheduled from 1 - 5 PM. We have around a five hour drive to do in the AM and PM so noonish start time would be cool with me.



Will bring the scan tool to play with again.



I'll probably have a couple guys riding with me and I'm try get another buddy to run his Powerstroke with also. We'll see.

Mike said Noon or shortly after is a good time to start. Seems to work better for those that have "short" drive.



Those that get there early can BS until then or help sweep the shop floor!
