I'm probably gonna go up Friday. Stay in Fargo. Can caravan back on the way home. I can go as far as St Cloud where I turn off anyway.

Don't look like I will be running on the dyno. With the introduction of the 370 injectors my clutch is slipping some now.

Make a run!

Jeff:

The dyno at Mikes is a DynoJet. I doudt you would slip your clutch at all. The run is over is seconds.

Last time we met, I made 2 runs without a fan. Hardly even build any heat let alone slip the tires or clutch.

I am sure a quick road test would put alot more load on your clutch then this dyno run. JMO!

I am having a headgasket put in the daybefore.

See ya there!

TTT on last time!

Most of the snow should be melted by Saturday. Pretty good group of Rammers heading to Mikes. Should a good time.

See ya there!

Thanks fellas for a nice time. Thanks John for the good grub. The chilly kicked in after about an hour down the road. Thanks Mike's Custom Truck for holding this event. It is a really nice shop.

Later Jeff H.

Lots to see and watch!

I had an extra day while get to watch a headgasket replacement. Had a 100% increase over last February's gathering. JohnE did a great job providing burgers, Chili and fixings.

Mikes shop was full of Dodge trucks and several waiting outside for varies service and upgrade needs. This was before the gathering.

Several went on the dyno with highs being over 370HP out Mikes (Shop Owners) truck that I am still sneezing up black stuff; and a 155 mph run out of a 2002 HP with a GearVendor overdrive. This fastest truck award appropriatly went to Verlyn Fast of Fast Coolers.

Mike had lots of new parts (upgrades, transmisions, injectors, etc) and lots of broken parts (rear diff, pistons, transmission) to view.

Those with 12V got an education on timing as after taking a road trip after the headgasket install (did side cover... . removed injectin pump) the timing slipped ALLOT. Truck towed back reset timing... increased torque on pump nut. Test ride #2, slip number #2. Reset again with more torque on nut, this time it held.

Thanks for those that came long distances.

Look forward to the next time.

If your wives are complaining about the chili make to tell them that MY WIFE is the one that made the stuff.

Once we get all the digital data collected it will be posted on the offical website at http://membersites. nwbombers.com/johne/.

Great turn out.

Great food! (OK, I'm biased as I did the grilling)

Great products featured including Fast Coolers, Kelderman, Horton, Edge, and PDR.

Thanks again to Mike & Scott at MIKE'S CUSTOM TRUCK for supporting the event.

Diesel on

I agree, another great time at Mike's, and even left with a full belly thanks to JohnE.

We took a 40 mile detour to get there and to find out later the road wasn't closed, made the trip over 6 hours. On the trip home the signs were all down on the west end of the construction. Must have been too late in the day on Friday to take all the signs down.

I still had the lowest numbers on the dyno. Truck was able to put out 244 hp and 620 ft lbs. The cool thing is the torque comes in a lot earlier than stock, which is obvious when pulling trailers. Still quite good numbers for the few bombs I've done to the truck.

When I got home my guage & mount had showed up on Sat. On Sun afternoon I installed an SPA boost/egt on the steering column.

Count me in for the next one.

Here's a link to a photo directory from A day in Northwood.

I'm working on the web page to add corny dialog or possibly a meaningful explanation to the photos
