Hey guys, here are some pics of my buddies 2wd first gen pulling truck. Runs pretty good. Has all the guys that pull gassers all peeved too. He doesn't run the box anymore because they dropped the class wieght trying to keep him out! It doesn't pull as well light, but a tacky tracks the old cummins ROCKS! If you come around Southern/Central IA this summer you could watch it pull.

Looks Good !! About how much hp is he running? Looks like he could use some more tire in the back. I hope kicks butt in the gasser classes.

Pulling 1st Gen...

Wild ride! Please post the details of set trucks set-up, and some other pictures would be great... Thanks, Patrick:D

I know the truck is still single charger as of last year, and the pump I'm not sure of, I don't think he ran a VE, but it wasn't a p pump either. He has a machine shop, and is good friends with George's Diesel in Des Moines IA. The pictures don't do the truck justice, it is a beautiful truck.

Really he has plenty of tire on the rear, he would like to run boggers in the rear, but the guys he pulls with says those are bar tires and won't let them in street classes.

I keep telling him me needs a slipper clutch.

The main downfall to the truck is its weight. When the classes were 5800lbs, and 6200lbs he was very competitive. Then the gassers got mad and went to 5200 and 5600 I think, trying to keep him out of their classes. Thats why he is currently running without the bed, so he can get it down in wieght. Whenever we pull at a sticky, clay track he kicks butt. The truck hooks and the cummins screams. Doesn't do as good on dry slick tracks though. He really likes the tracks that bite back.

He does most of his pulling in southern and Central Iowa. I do a little pulling in western Illinios, never make it up to Wisconsin though. I have a little vidoe footage of him, but I don't know how to put them on the internet.
