Everyone,

To start I have read 100's of posts and spent the last 2 weeks diagnosing my issue and still have found nothing. Here is my problem...

When moving forward or backward at a slow speed wheel turning or not, as well as coming to a stop, I get a clunking, creaking, popping sound.

I recently replaced my lower control arms (entire assembly), Upper control arms (w/ bj's), sway bar end links and bushings (Moog greasable). I have checked the torques on everything 5,6,7, ( lost count) times, always backing off a few turns before tightening to spec. I have even been doing the poor man power steering flush ( drain, fill, drive a few days and repeat) always checking for air.

My question is have any of you dealt with this before? I think it may be my sway bar end links which i will be replacing this weekend. if that doesn't fix it ill move to the tie rods as those are still factory at 135k miles. No i have not been able to get someone to turn wheel while i feel for popping. I will also be changing out the sway bar and SWB link bushings with Energy suspension bushings from Geno's Garage.

Any help, ideas, fixes would be greatly appreciated as I drive this truck daily with no other issues. Trucks alignment is still good at this point.

For those of you that viewed this posting, After I posted last night I found my problem this morning.

I went to my school UTI in irving and jumped on there alignment rack and taking the 250ftlb torque wrench I started working my way from the upper control arms backing everything loose and re torqued and once i reached my lower control arm frame bolts I found them all to be loose. I was able to bet 5 full turns on them before they started to get tight and then finally torqued them to 190ftlbs like they should be.

Called the shop that had my truck in last there tech confirmed that he couldn't remember if he torqued the lower arms or not!!!
