Has any one actually received a set of the new Bilstein shocks for two wheel drive 2003 Ram 2500s yet? I need to replace at least my fronts asap before I chew up a tire. If the Bilsteins aren't available, what do folks reccomend?

Thanks

As my signature shows I have a 06 MC 4 x4 now and allegedly I can get Bilsteins for it (which I will order soon). :confused:

When I had my 2003 HO 305/550 3500 6 speed 2WD I went and bought the Rancho 9000 adjustable. Basically I was EXTREMELY displeased :{ with them as they barely held the motor/front end without bouncing. The rear ones barely held the rear end with out bouncing ( and I fully adjusted for maximum control). So long story short I purchased new EOM shocks from the Dodge house took them to the Shock store where I bought the Rancho 9000's. They uninstalled them and gave me my money back and they were great about re-installing the new EOM's (for free). These guys were real grateful, now they knew there is no replacements yet (early 2005) for 2WD 3rd generation. :eek:

If Bilstein don't hurry, they're gonna lose me to Monroe Reflex ($170 for all 4 and have friends that do run them and like them). I'm tired of the drunken sailor feeling when loaded, and the bump stop testing when empty over speed bumps. I'm not sure if there's even shocks there, just a sway bar. :confused:

Try finding a set of fronts that will accomodate lift spacers!!!!!! If anyone has found this elusive "unicorn" shock, please chime in! :{

As far as the 3500 TWO WHEEL DRIVE TRUCKS's, Bilstein says they are developing a "different" shock.

The 3500 has a softer spring rate on the initial spring then the 2500 does. I guess Bilstein feels the 3500 should be valved different. Wonder if they want more compression and rebound for a softer spring?
