No problem guys , i wont need the whole frame just the peices although if the front springs are good id look at those , mine on my 92 are junk , Im wanting to start this project in a month or so . Any one got a p pump engine sitting around they want to part with ?

Donovan,
I have a template and bar that I made when my brother & I did a 2WD to 4WD conversion this past summer. I'm attaching photos of what I have. If you think you want it you can have it for the shipping charges, with the understanding that, when you're done with it, if you hear of someone else needing it, you will pass it on, the same way. PM me if you're interested. I'll also send you my phone no. and personal E-mail. You can contact me directly if I can be of any help. Jack Dancoe#ad

OK, the pictures didn't seem to send. I'll have to figure out what I'm doing wrong. I tried pasting them like I would to an E-mail and it didn't work. If you send me your E-mail I'll send them direct. Jack

Jack , I sent you a PM . Any one look at that frame yet ? or get Jungle Jims contact info ?

No clue on Jungle Jim's..... hmm, kinda like a lot of things around here... . HA!!!:-laf

I just got back to civilization, such as it is, and read your post. I'll check tomorrow, I think I have a set. I know I have a Custom set I built several years ago, that is slightly longer. I never arched 'em as I reslated the whole front end and used a 4 link and coilover.

As long as it isnt drastic then id be very intersted , i definately not wanting to go 4 link

This is not being built a wheeler but a nice driver / tower etc . I could use the front crossmember stuff too

Well, it appears I have sold the extended set. I have a set I will be taking off in the next few weeks, though. I've got a set built up to put on my '91, and the set I'll take off will be available. They're pretty wore, though. I have used some springs off Chevy's before, I think early '80s 1/2 tons. I have a set somewhere, but I couldn't find them this morning. If I remember correctly, they were 2 inches longer. With an extended shackle in the rear, they'll work really well.....

DVolk, stumbled across this last night while doing some research/nightcrawling..... RamchargerCentral. Com - Dodge front spring drop hangers with shackles

I think it's the Jungle Jim fellow you're looking for. From what I saw, it's worth looking into, I like the looks of his drop hangers... ... .

Also, found these guys. Heard of them, but never used their stuff. I like the looks of what they have, too.

Dodge Full Size Stuff!

On the springs I have, the lower leaves have worn into the upper leaves a little, probably a 1/16th or so. When I get them off, I'll send you a pic.

The ones from Dodge full size dont look to be drilled , im wondering if that jungle jims has any that is not lower than relatively stock shackel drop as i dont need higher than

as is i wonder if he has a web site or e-mail ? how ever the full size dodge acts if the gm ones and fords are all the same and dodge ????Any one know ? Although i like that 1 peice cross member set up . Then id just need the engine member then im ready to clean cap out of shop then bust knuckels on rivits and invent new @&@^^@!!!! words LOL doing it

The one piece from Jungle is 1" higher than stock. The mandrel bent ones from Ruff Tuff will have to be welded onto the frame, or as I would do, weld a plate on the side and rivet it to the frame.

I didn't see anything that was "stock. " But Jungle Jim's unit looks pretty stout. I don't know how it attaches. Call the guys at Ruff Tuff and see what they can do for you. That's my best suggestion. I hate to cut them off my frame, as it's good. The springs are a different story, as I'm not going to use them anyway. With an inch drop in the front, I'd think it would just help with driveshaft angles. Cast is a little different matter.....

How far back are the frames and hangers are the same i got a military dodge frame that im guessing is 76 to 78 and if i could get it from him my brother has a trashed ram charger I also got a 76 Ramcharger frame as well

Well, there you go. The frames are basically the same. Is the military frame you have a 4x4? They're the same as the '80s frames. I have a '76 frame I put an '84 cab on, with a '74 engine in it. It was 2x4, but I also have an old '74 Powerwagon, and it all measures the same. I used the 2x4 frame at the time for a road truck. I didn't need the 4x4. Now I wish I had, as my whole system is different, but I still may do it, as my powerwagon body is in good shape. The ramcharger frames are the same, as well. In the front end, anyway. Everything should bolt right up.

Is the crossmember the same on the 70s gas trucks and the gen 1 cummins trucks ?

The benefit of the military one the cab is crap so i could rip it off and flip it up side down and work on it , unless i can score a frame close buy ?
