2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 3 1/4 trun box

Is a 3 1/4 turn box a stock box that was an option and can be bought at napa or autozon or is this a custom only available from PSC or AGR?

The steering gear box. There is a 3 1/4 turn one and one that is about 4 1/2 turns lock to lock.



My truck has an original box, 3 1/4 turn. But I have been told by some that they were never on these trucks, so maybe I cannot count.

Thats right Nkenny, most 2nd gens I'm familliar with have a steering box that is 4 1/2 turns lock to lock. Many guys put in 3 1/4 turn boxes which are suposed to feel much better. My question is if they were ever offered in a stock truck, my 96 and budies 98 had 4 1/2 turn boxes. I know you get them aftermarket but I have a reciept from autozone for life time replacement and would like to exchange it for the 3 1/4 if possible.

IIRC, the 3500's have the 3 1/4 turn boxes. I just bought mine from Larescorp and so far, its looking to be an excellent rebuit box.
