3/4 to 1 ton questions

Would like to convert my '99 3/4 ton to a dually. Have a heavy slide-in camper and want the dually stability. Is this a viable option or a stupid thing to do. I like this truck a lot. Don't really want to lose it if I can help it. How will the dually set-up perform in 4 wheel drive on snowy back country roads, and on the street ? Thanks in advance.

My signature should read: '99 3/4 ton 4x4,Qcab, longbed, 3. 5 lsd, w/ camper group. Autometers,E-brake,Roncho 9000's and a VA.

the duallies are more stable obviously. they will still perform good in snow... gotta run around in 4wd all the time anyways. in a couple years, i will probably put a conversion kit on (after the big bombs).
