3.42 limited slip - is it clutchless?

Only for 05 and 06 model year. 6th was changed in 07. With the six speed auto it should not even be a consideration.

The 3:42 is absolutely perfect for the g56. Much different animal than the nv trannies. The g56 w/ 3:73 is at roughly 2200rpm at 70 mph, same as an older truck w/ 4:10's. The 3:42 is like havin a 3:73 and the auto, the 4:10 isn't even an option with the g56.

That pretty much parallels my thoughts.

Last two fillups for me I hand calc'd 16. 9 and 18. 3

Good to hear. My first fill-up hand calculated is 14mpg, and according to the computer the second tank is doing another 2 mpg better so we'll see what the hand calcs work out for it.

Mine is all hand calculated on my fuel usage spread sheet. I run Hot Shot Service and am all over Alberta in all weather. Zero off road service. I will be running about 150,000 Km per year. Everything is stock, CAT, DPF and EGR plus O2 sensor were replaced under warranty. Great truck, now if they can sort out my HVAC (4 attempts so far) everything will be up to snuff. I really want to run this truck for about 1,000,000 Km before trading up.

Whats with the HVAC ? Thats another old weak spot. Is it a directional door issue or something new maybe?
