It depends on how your pin weight %age plays out. It's already a heavy trailer and I wouldn't want to add ballast just to make it within the payload of the SRW.

Yes... The Trailer empty is at 12200... but the pin weight is nearly 3000 lbs! I don't know why this is so NOSE HEAVY...Shoot, even at 20 percent load on pin which is HIGH, should be about 15 percent the pin weight would be 2400 lbs...In cars, by moving a 50 lb battery to the trunk it is said, its like moving the engine back about an inch... So, by adding 200 lbs aft of the axles,at the rear frame, maybe it would be like taking 500 lbs. off the pin...

20% is not HIGH, it is the minimum you want. 25% will tow better than 20%.

5er's have a range of 20-25% and bumper pulls (aside from boats) are 10-15%.

It's nose heavy from the length, bedroom slide, and floor plan options.

The combo looks good to me, just drive it. 200 lbs on the tail of the trailer will only remove about 100 lbs from the pin.

The only thing I can do now is to get the trailer and truck to the scales... The factory said that truck empty weighed in at 8000 lbs... NO IT DON"T ... It weighs in at 8900lbs! I dont' see where 900 came from.... I guess Fuel at about 240, 220 120 passengers 20 doggy, 200 for the bed linter, running boards, hitch, mudflaps and hood shield and mouldings.... IDK... Just have to wait and see...I wonder what the cost is to have it converted to a dually.. then I will not only get rid of the weight issue but will be able to tow 3300 lbs more... Just by changing the bed and axle.....

If you are fully loaded in the pic and I assume you do not have air bags my opinion is your combo looks perfect! Now a trip to the scales is advised to see what your truck rear axle weighs. If under the rear tires combined capacity you are golden. 20% pin weight is a MINIMUM for most 5er's. 25% is much more common than people realize.

This one does have the automatic air bags.. . Yes, going to the scales is great advice. As soon as the shop gives it back to me, I will weigh everything.. Front and rear axle and the combination of the two... Thanks..

Nice having the factory rear air ride.
