Im going to lift my 2006 no matter what, but i was contemplating running 35's or 37's. the title says it all, how do u think it will drive? i wll be getting my smarty when its ready, so hopefully i will gain some of the power back. let me know what you guys think. let me see some pics of your trucks with lifts, im having a tough time deciding what manufacter to go with.

will you notice a difference? yes. will the truck still do fine? yes. it will be a bit laggy, but the torque of the cummins can push through the "gearing issue" in the end, there will be more stress put on your drive train, and i dont know if/how much you tow, but being that you have a G56 you have the option of going to 4. 10 fairly easily. all stock parts. if it was me, and i had the money and a 4x4, i would lift it, and get 37's. i wouldnt be able to tow my trailer though... .

I would give it a shot and if you don't like it switch to 4:10 or drop down to 35s. I would also take off in first gear.

im running the 35's right now and its better. i can tow in 5th at highway speeds and sit around 2300-2500 rpms. i pull a light trailer but i dont like taking off in second with it anyways. now i can use first and acually move a little before its time to shift. i think a bigger tire is what the g56 needed behind it.

Once you get the larger tires, let us know how it feels at highway speeds- going to larger tires is the easiest way to decrease revs and with our G56, we could all use that.

Good luck,

John

jstrasser thats for sure. thats part of the reason why i want the bigger tires. i think i will go with the 37's. but now im contimplating lifts. what do you guys think. does anyone know the specs on the technical series from kore. im sure its very pricey but its quality. let me know.

Here's some pics that I've accumulated over the past few weeks... I've been thinking of the KORE technical series and 37's on mine as well. No official word on the technical series yet, but I've heard it's around 5. 5" lift, and maybe priced between the Race series (~$4k?) and the Unlimited (~10k?). I sure hope it's on the lower end of that scale! Sarah Mae said expected release before December hopefully.

ya they grey truck looks nice, thats what im going for. whats the lift manufacture? enafziger how do u like your fuel system upgrades?

I'm almost 100% sure that all the trucks pictured have 6" lifts and 37" tires. Their are all configurations of SRW trucks (Quad, Mega, LWB, SWB), so some just look a litte taller. Additionally, some of the trucks have 20" wheels, and some 17". Many of the trucks (the gray quad cab, the red and white megacabs, and the long bed truck) are ones posted on ebay by the seller wattsautomotive. They are a car lot in Utah that often has new or slightly used lifted dodge trucks (nearly all with 6" lifts and Toyo's). The lift on the red truck is a 6" Tuff Country, but it seems like they use another brand as well... just can't think of it right now. The black mega is TDR member Fozzy. I forgot whose the blue one is. Yeah, I really like the 6" lift/37" tire combo myself. My favorite is the gray quad, followed by Fozzy's black mega.

As far as my fuel system... I am very pleased with Glacier Diesel Products. They are great to work with, and go out of their way for customer support. I have the 2-micron fuel filter and big line kit installed. I don't have the walbro pump on yet (long story). Again, I'm very happy with the quality and service. Tomeygun has the full GDP 392 system installed and gives it very high marks as well.

Maybe one day soon I'll be able to post a picture of mine with some 37's on it! --Eric

Hopefully my Inferno Mega will look like the one in the photo, but only with air ride and not a standard lift. My girlfriend, who went in on the truck with me, doesn't want any more than a two inch lift. Anyone want to help convince her? Yes, I already showed her the pics.

anybody have any experience with the revtek 6". i test drove one of those already lifted trucks from the dealer, and asked them what suspension company it was riding on. obviously they did not no, so i went underneath and saw revtek. it rode extremly well and if i got rid of the blocks and did springs it would be perfect for my taste.

Yes, I have a Revtek 6" lift in my Mega and love it so far. I have had it since March and it has been great. They make a solid product at a very reasonable price. Good luck.

I have 35" yokohamas on my g-56 mega cab. It now runs 76 mph at 2200 Rpm instead of 70. 37s will run about 81 at 2200 Rpm. A 48re truck runs 80 at 2200 rpm with the stock 265s. Between the overdrive ratio and 1st gear ratio of the g-56 you almost have to run a taller tire. I wouldn't even consider 4. 10s. I had no rubbing at all with the 35s in the mountains with a completely stock truck. After a couple of weeks I did install a set of BDS 2" spacers to level the truck. I am very happy with my six speed choice because you can run a taller tire without the worry of overworking the stock 6 speed. If you want more lift than a 2" spacer go with the 37s if you just want an unlifted truck go with the 35s. I am pretty happy with the ride difference I have with the 35s.

im thinking the revtek kit. it reasonable and rides good, so probably go that route. im still considering the technical series

I installed the KORE HD Leveling Kit and have the BFG AT KO 315-70-17's. I absolutely LOVE the change. My rpms are in just the right spot, engine is humming along strong. I can still start out in 2nd, rolls right into motion with less clutch. Braking has not really changed either. I have not towed anything since putting on the KORE Kit, but I would bet that will not change much at all either.

I would bet the other KORE kits will live up to your expectations, and then some. I am also sure any of the other better quality kits will too. Makes an already excellent truck even better. I cannot say enough, GREAT.

The truck looks great but do you have problems with tires rubbing when the tires are turned i have 35" BF Goodrich on mine since new the dealer put them on but thay couldn`t find a rim that wasen`t dished out to far. yours look like the ones i had originally tried did you have to lift the front at all.
