I want to switch from 3. 73 to 4. 10 gears and was wondering if anyone has done this and recommends a brand or has part numbers to witch i can order from. I was thinking about looking at jegs or northern automotive catalogs to order my stuff. I have a guy who can install the parts, I just need to order them. Any help is appreciated.

I'll check that site. Actually, I just looked at jegs online & I'm not exactlly sure what I should look for. I went under the drivetrain section and all I could find was under the differential they had " limited slip & lock ups" and that's not what I need. Then there was a ring & pinion section. Would it be under that?

Ring and pinions for the axle that your truck has, are they Dana 70's? bg

I don't know. All I know is that the mag-hytec diff cover for the rear said AAM 11. 5 so that's what I was looking for and saw nothing on the websites I looked at. Jegs & Northern Auto only showed Dana gears. My truck is currently in a shop having some injectors fixed, & I would like to order these gears and have them installed while the truck is down. Since my truck is in the shop & I don't have axcess to it, is there anything else I need to know when I go to order a set from a manufactor? I believe the front is 9. 50", right?

I checked the box my hytec cover came in and it said AA14-11. 5a, so it's not the 10. 5. I'll make some calls today & i'm sure the manufactors will know what I need.

I did the 3. 73 to 4. 10 swap. I purchased oem gears because i heard they were the best option. approx 50,000 mi on the gears no problems. Sorry no part #s.

I called a bunch of places today, & I'm going with West Coast Differentials. They had the best prices and were the only ones who had the parts in stock. Thanks everyone for your input.

No i had coast differentials put them in I dont remember how much. I heard randys ring and pinion had good prices though too.
