3 Dodges in top 5 at Daytona so far!

As the title states, so far Dodge has 3 cars in the top 5 positions. Not a big Nascar fan, but I will have to start checking it out now to see how the Mopar boys are doing.

Hey Chad,just chacked the site out for the new nascars from Dodge. I thought they were going with the baby Hemi. But found out they only had 500 days to get a 360 ready for the blessing of the antiracing tech boys from Nascar. I still think they will do well,they have some good race teams and drivers. GO DODGE!

The Dodge boys - remember when they were the boys that wore the white hats? - better sandbag a little bit.

They will have NASCAR all over them trying to cut down their power to keep the field close.

It's happened before - like three of the last three years.

I wish they would just let them bring what they can build and run 'em!

Today while I was doing the transmission in big red, the radio said the a DODGE had the pole position so far. I know that those positions change, and several other drivers will be on the pole before the day comes, but today it was Mopar in the #1 position at Daytona!!!

mopar got 4 of the top 10 grid... #1 and #2 to boot ... it seems the #2 qualifier chebby was sitting too low, just like their trucks.

They should have a few races where it's "Run what you brung!" Define wheel base, tread, and safety issues (plus some admin stuff) and let it all hang out. He who crosses first... ... ... ... ... ... . wins #ad

Not a big NASCAR fan myself, but happy to see Mopar back competing.

In the 60's MOPAR dominated the high banked oval tracks. Their 426 HEMI® Powered Dodge's & Plymouth's were Unbeatable . They would finish 1,2,3,4 every weekend.

With the Dodge Boys kicking BUTT in qualifying with just winter tuning & testing says alot. The cars are dialed in already. This is unbelievable. Dodge might be on the same track is in the '60's & '70's.

I must ask myself, How long will it last until the constant whining by both Ford and General Motors team looking for breaks for their make of car will drive Mopar out of NASCAR once Again?.

Mopar was too successful in NASCAR once for its own good. It made a mockery of the competition. NASCAR had to re-write the rule book, to make it a level playing field for Ford & GM. It started when NASCAR told MOPAR it had to run a Carburetor restrictor plate on its HEMI® powered cars. Ford & GM was exempt from this rule. Finally and utimately the 426 HEMI® was banned completely from competing in NASCAR.

To this day, the 426 Chrysler HEMI® is the most successful racing engine EVER built. To list the races it has won would be an impossible task. #ad



Lets see how long NASCAR lets Mopar race without adding some sort of restriction on their cars, and ONLY their cars. #ad
