Howdy all,

I currently have a 2 gauge pillar mount, and it does not have the built in tweeter. I just ordered 3 series 2 SPA diital gauges from Brandon, and of course will need to get a 3 gauge pillar mount.

I have checked Geno's web site, and they offer two different ones: with and without a built in tweeter. I do have the pillar mounted tweeter speakers in my OEM stereo system, and my current 2 gauge pillar mount does not have the built in tweeter. Unfortunately, on the Geno's site, they post the same picture for both of the 3 gauge pillar mounts, so I can't tell if I will need the one with the tweeter or the one without it. I do not think I have seen in person anyone's truck with a 3 gauge pillar mount, so I don't know which I will need. Can someone who has a 3 gauge mount, or seen one in person help me figure out which I need?

Thanks,

Tom

I have the 2 pillar mount with tweeter and I am adding another guage. But i am going to use the steering colum mount i guess its pretty trick. Its a thought

with tweeter

Get the one with the tweeter. You won't realize how much that little thing improves the sound of your radio, until it's not there anymore. If you can get the cover with the tweeter, then I would recommend you get it.

Where is the best place to get a 2 guage mount with the tweeter location?? I get the impression the A-pillar mounts are in high demand and the supply is low. Is there any different in the A-pillar mounts between manufactures or different venders? I'm looking for something that has as close to a OEM look as possible. Preferablly one which uses the OEM A-pillar trim clip to hold it in place instead of having to screw it onto the OEM trim. Can someone offer some info?

PS: Any special prep need to be done to paint these things?

Guys, Put one in about six-months ago, get lots of compliments--dealer thought it was factory!!! I have the tweeter model--as you know you can order in any color of black you want--went to local paint store and girl mixed me up little can of interior gray and spray bottle--cleaned it off with alchol and painted up fine!! I didn't hook to old panel--seemed stupid, fits just fine with one screw at top. . used Westach gauges and they have did well... . R, J. B. :D
