Anyone have 3 gauges and the grab handle?

I saw this pick of an SRT-10 gauge pod and was wondering if it was some sort of prototype or if I could get one empty.

Is the gauge pod in your pic from an SRT-10? Here's a pic of a SRT-10 pillar with fuel pressure gauge.

Interesting. The guys review say oil temp is one of the three gauges in the pod and I thought that was what the pillar was for so perhaps they did away with the pillar for the pod?

Is that a REAL SRT-10? I thought it only came in a short box regular cab. This one looks like a reworked half ton. Does not have the SRT wheels and tires. Maybe just someone having a little creative fun.

My guess is this is a pre-production truck. The original post mentions an automatic trans. I don't think that is available yet. Tires don't look right either. They looked too small. The post mentioned excessive wheel spin. I'm sure they are going to make the production vehicle hook up good and solid.

It looks like somebody @ DCX took this thing out to show their buddies. He could be in some serious doo-doo.

Thats a pretty clean install for a one gauge unit. Now if I could find an EGT and Trans temp in the same gauge for that pillar mount I would drop the boost gauge.

The X-monitor to me looks out of place on the pillar and I see they have a column mount now looks like this:

Gauges

Contemplating gauges. I would like to monitor EGT and Boost, but... is there a need to monitor temperature on a 6 speed ?... On my prior truck, with an automatic, it was the most important, but how about on a manual. . Do they develop possibly detrimental temperatures ??...

Temp on a six speed is not critical. Not nearly as much so as egt's, boost, fuel pressure or even your rear diff will probably get hotter than your trans when towing heavy.

For 2 temps in that SRT-10 pillar mount I found this:

The company verified this EGT gauge will double as a trans temp gauge as long as you can mount the thermal couple in the fluid.

Range is 100 to 1500 deg. You can program it to flash the reading at a selected temp. It also has a memory for real time play back on power runs but I probably wouldn't use that feature.

If found it at www.hoytmeter.com

What are the temp increments? Many digital gauges are in 10° increments and trans temp I would like to know more accurate than that.

that truck definatly isnt a srt-10... the exhaust, crew cab, and the wheels/tires are all wrong for starters... . not to mention lack or srt-10 badging

That could be Ken, according to this link it seems the place where many of those pics were hosted was contacted by Daimler Chrysler that lodged a complaint and some were removed.

Hey Scott, did you get that single gauge A Pillar cover through a DC parts counter?

I was thinking if I were to use one of those plus a dual pod mount from Autometer I could have all three plus the grab handle.

The pod from Autometer looks like this single mount one but they have a dual pod also:

Anyone tried one of these yet?

that gauge looks near identical to the spa dual gauges eh...

Yep, bought it from the Mopar parts department. Not unreasonably priced at $40 and it was/is a perfect fit. Do a search for SRT-10 pillar and you should find the part number.

Kinda, I think the SPA gauge is a little nicer because you can choose a white dial that would match the dash better.

(The SPA gauge I checked out after posting about the Pyro2001) Also the SPA has adjustable brightness for night viewing where the Pyro2001 is fixed.

I talked with the folks at SPA and they can also supply a Temp/Temp gauge that could be used as a Trans Temp and EGT gauge with an adapter box. Trans temp would be 0-300 in . 1 increments while the EGT would be 0-1750 in 7 deg increments.

I think it would look real nice in the SRT-10 Pillar mount that Scott is using.

But then I don't have the boost gauge:( but then do I really need one with an auto? Its my understanding that with a stick it's possible to see boost drop off when towing if you lug the motor too much which is kinda hard to do with the auto.

The Di-Pricol gauges at Gino's Garage is less money for all 3 but then I would need that column pod. I don't care for the sweep and readability of the Di-Pricol trans temp vs the SPA digital.

Can anyone offer up reasons I should have a boost gauge?
