Vaughn,

I'm very happy with mine, and I hope you will like yours as well.

This pod appears to be exactly what I am looking for. My question is that I have already ordered the VDO vision gauges. These are 2-1/16" gauges and I can't think of any reason why these wouldn't slip into this pod as well unless there is a depth problem? Also, can the pod fit forward enough to accomidate a windshield sunshade? Oops! One more. How does it fasten to the dashboard?

Vaughn - does the fuel pressure guage have an electronic sending unit or do you have a line with fuel in it running into the cab? I would want the latter if it ever decided to leak.

Hi dresslered, I have the Autometer dashtop pod with VDO Vision guages. Pyro, trans temp and manifold pressure. It all fits good and looks good. The pod attaches with an aluminum bracket, long screw and spacer to the existing center dash screw hole on top of the dash. It's very close to the windshield. You might have to tailor your sun shade. Have mine back apart waiting for gray interior paint from DC. Tried two off the shelf colors from Trac Auto and couldn't get a very good match.
Good luck. MikeH

Thanks for the reply MikeH. I figured that it would work just fine so I had already ordered my pod. I haven't decided whether or not I am going to paint mine yet as it will be on top of a dash mat. Although, since I went to the trouble of having the guages match, I'm sure that I will follow with the color.

Has anyone "recently" installed the product I have pictured above in this thread??

Do you like it? Likes/Dislikes??? I have one on order from Summit just to set it up there and see if I like it.

I am going with AutoMeter Ultralite Series Pyro, Boost, and probably transmission temp. Since I have the automatic and will be approaching 400HP when its all said and done I wanna keep a eye on the temperture even tho I don't tow.

Hi KatDiesel,

I just installed a 3-pack pod very similar to the pictures above. Got the Vision gauges and pod all from egauges.com. The pod was about $12(?). I still need to finish connecting everything at the other end.

Yes, the reflection is there day and night. However, anything you put on the dash during the day is reflected in the windshield, at least in mine, so this is not unique.

I'm happy with it. My eyesight is still good enough to see the numbers on the gauges even with the pod up against the windshield. I mounted my pod to the dash mat using velcro. I stuffed the wires/air line inside split wire loom, then jammed the loom between the dash and windshield. Totally out of sight.

My preference would have been a 3 pod a-piller mount, however, this does do the job.

Which mount do you guys recommend or like best. The dash pod mount or this 3 pod Pillar replacement mount? #ad

I just installed the pillar mount and I am very happy with it. The gauges are right there when you need to check them. I still could get the paint in a spray can from DC to match. My wife even thinks it looks good. #ad
