Today on my way home I noticed my check engine light. It didn't help that two weeks ago I had to replace my crankshaft sensor so I thought there might be another short somewhere. Well I got home, checked my fluids, let her cool down, then went back out and started her up again. To my dismay my fuel pressure never made it above 3 psi. I have never had great fuel pressure with a usual 11-13psi @ idle and 8-11psi @ highway speeds so I guess I have just been ignoring the inevitable. It is the factory pump and my truck does have 130,000. I guess "it doesn't catch up to you, until it catches up to you. "

Anyone have any suggestions/advice on the best bang for my buck on a fuel pump?

Anyone have any suggestions on trustworthy shops in central Ohio area?

Thanks.

The pump isn't that hard to change. I'd be concerned with the CEL. I replaced my pump as readings got low as a PM, codes are not good. I got my new pump from a Dealer/member back east for ~130. 00 you'll need the pigtail though. I'll find his # and post it.

Mike

Edit: His shop # is 812-473-5604
