3" Skyjacker Lift on a Cummins?

Do you think the 3" Skyjacker front springs for a 2500 gasser would be adequate to keep the front of our Cummins off the ground. I know the weight is the main concern, and I'm only hoping for a 2" lift. What do you think?



Would control arms be the same between the gasser lift and the diesel lift?

Yep! It sure will help. I have that lift on my 1999 2500 and it works great. Make sure you install the rear add-a-leaf's to. You can fit 33" tires under your truck without the lift and 35" with it. The manufacture says you will only see 2 1/2" of lift on a Diesel. So it should work fine.

Its not worth the $$$ for a 3" lift. I looked into this and just got the 2. 5" leveling kit for the front end. Ill tell you why... ... . Since the back of the truck is like 3" higher then the front then your going to pay alot of cash for a 1" lift in the rear and 3 in the front. I just got the 2. 5" level for the front and saved my self like $700 . Our trucks are very high as it is plus when you throw on 33's its even higher. Unless you really want your truck jacked high stay with a level kit. Other wise go to 5" lift to notice any difference then you got now.

I guess i should have said that to. I agree with SKY if you just want the frontend rasied. And if I ever install another lift it will be 4" to 5" not 2 1/2" Sky's right on that to.

Tuff Country Spacers are the way to go in my opinion if you are only looking for a level truck look. I am very happy with mine.

I got a good deal at http://www.desertrat.com. It took about three hours to install along with new shocks.

If the 2500 gasser springs are for the V-10 they will work. The

V-8 springs are not rated the same and they wont hold up. If you do it, replace the 4 links at the same time. The stock links have a lot of flex. I would recommend at least Skyjacker upper and lower links with gas shocks at all 4 corners. Dual fronts were too much for me with 33" tires. They work great with the added weight of my 35" tires. There dual stabilizer kit and DT track bar and you will think you bought a new truck. I did all of the above with just 1500 miles and what a different truck . Sam
